In its final game of the 2010 season, the women’s lacrosse team fell to Harvard 18-10, ending the year with a record of 6-8 overall, and 0-7 in the Ivy League. The game was close throughout the first half, but Harvard dominated the second, coming out with the win, and improving to 7-7 and 3-4 in the league.
In its last away game of the season, the women’s lacrosse team fell 12-4 to Yale on Saturday. With the loss, the Lions dropped to 0-6 in the Ancient Eight and 5-7 overall, while the Bulldogs improved to 6-7 on the season and 3-3 in the Ancient Eight, allowing Yale to stay in contention for the Ivy League Tournament. Although the Bulldogs only outshot the Lions 28-22, and the two teams broke even on draw controls with nine each, Columbia was unable to capitalize on scoring opportunities to come out with the win.
